Design: Attempting to tap into the multitude of cultures in Los Angeles, we decided to use types of crafts to inform the direction of the magazine

Tinsel Magazine is a publication concept for Los Angeles. The print would be made for LA by those residing in LA. Each feature is about a fellow Angeleno living their life and how they contribute to the city.
The general format is that of a journal, one that an artist, journalist or even a local might keep to take note of all their favorite things about and by Los Angeles. Articles are formatted as if they were pulled from experiences, cut and paste right into the notes. I chose to design something fresh but crude, as a nod to what it is to be part of LA.
