Magne Mater

Client: Textile Designer

Role: Graphic Designer + Photographer + Mock-up Artist

Project: Create a textile based on sustainable materials

Design: This design came to be from a sustainability stance. The materials were to be sustainable, so as the designer, I chose to represent these pieces with real findings from nature and illustrated designs of nature.

Tools Used: Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Scavenging

This Design Lookbook includes: inspiration mood board, color palette, iconography, badges, and patterns, serving as a style guide for the Magne Mater Surface Design Collection designed for eco-centric goods. Beginning with organic shapes, natural colors and pops of neon, the imagery maintains connectivity between the natural world and the human world; tumbled sea glass, desert landscapes, written language, woven baskets. The over-all feel is intended to be fun yet grounded.

Badges and borders are compilations made up of primary and secondary images. With these, unique symbols are made and can be altered and adjusted to make full patterns or used as a stand-alone focal point. This pattern was made to be versatile, not only to be used for packaging, but to be used in both large and small fabric formats, and a limitless number of textiles.
