Flour + Water is a product design and brand development project made to find a packaging and branding solution for a pasta company. The emphasis is on the ingredients being simple, organic and rooted in Italian heritage.

Each pasta has its’ own design to go along with it. The designs were inspired by Italian wrought iron that was often used in Italian homes as entrance ways. In this sense, I wanted the design to be the entry into this new pasta brand. Paper based packaging that has a semi-translucent finish allows the consumer to see the product similarly to a package-window, but also is recyclable, nodding to the organic ingredients. The decorative designs are taken from old Italian cast-iron work, but are translated to represent the various pasta types.
